I’ve been where you are.

People come to coaching for all sorts of reasons. A decision to make, a goal that keeps slipping, a feeling of being stuck, or a sense that there's more in them. I've been in most of those places myself, and I coach from that experience.

For a long time I thought the way through anything was a plan, a timeline and a list. Life has taught me it's messy and full of change.

At work, I've spent more than 15 years leading teams, and the part I loved most was never the projects. It was the conversations. Sitting down with someone and helping them work out what they wanted and how to get there.

Life outside work has shaped me just as much as my 9-5. I've faced plenty of challenges, from building a life with a partner who moved across the world to be here, to becoming a parent. Nothing reshuffles your priorities faster. I also chose to give alcohol a break, which taught me a lot about changing a habit that everyone around you treats as normal.

Later, during a demanding stretch in my own career, I was the one being coached after a restructure. I didn't get advice. I got the space and the questions I needed to work it out for myself. It helped me see my situation clearly and decide what I wanted next.

Family, work, health, the big decisions and the everyday ones. None of it comes with a manual. What has helped me every time is having someone to think out loud with. That's what I offer now.

How I coach

  • You have the answers

My job is to listen properly and ask the questions you haven't asked yourself. I won't tell you what to do. You know your life better than I ever will.

  • Forward, not back

We focus on where you're going, not on picking over where you've been. My approach is grounded in positive psychology and built around what's already working for you.

  • Talk, then act

A good conversation should lead somewhere. You'll leave each session with actions you've chosen, and we'll check in on how they went.
